Child Support Agency Quarterly Summary of Statistics
December 2011

This National Statistics publication is released on 25 January 2012 according to arrangements approved by the UK Statistics Authority.
A revised version was published on the 26 January 2012 due to the discovery of two minor errors, affecting the Annual Cases/Children Benefiting from Maintenance and the Enforcement Table. The revised figures are documented in the footnotes of the affected tables.
The data covers the period both before and after the Commission assumed responsibility for the CSA. The data also covers the period both before and after the removal of the compulsion on parents with care who are claiming benefits to use the CSA to collect or arrange maintenance payments. The change, which came into force on October 27th 2008, affects around 400,000 CSA clients who can now choose to make private maintenance arrangements with the non-resident parent.
